Born in Beograd and raised in Vancouver, Ljudmila Petrovic recently completed her master’s thesis in counseling psychology. Her study focused on mental health and specifically a group of women from former Yugoslavia.

Azra’s family moved to Atlanta in 1997 and she recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a major in exercise and sports science. She’s currently pursuing her doctorate in Physical Therapy at Georgia State University.

Leonita is Albanian Kosovar and was born in Croatia. She is the host of the BOTA podcast: a place to share world views, culture, careers, and all the above from an Albanian American perspective.

Originally born in Bosanska Gradiška, Belma Halilović is the oldest of three sisters and currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio. In January 2020, she was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) which is a type of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma: a blood cancer that starts in your lymphocytes. It’s a fast-growing aggressive cancer and unfortunately one that came right at the start of the global pandemic.
