Emina’s Most Loved Pieces of Home

After spending the past three years learning the ins and outs of designing and producing apparel, I’ve come to find certain items that I’ve worn over and over again. Take a scroll through all of my favorites below.

Ever since launching the Zbog Tebe collection in 2018, we’ve decided to keep the story going by adding more items that represent strong Balkan women. Whenever I put on this hoodie, I’m reminded of how I’ve made it through some of the most difficult times in my life, and how I’ve still managed to come out a stronger person than ever before. You’ll see I paired it with high-waisted jeans, but I also love wearing it to the gym with leggings.

If you’re new here, then you probably don’t know where I’m originally from. While I spent the majority of my life growing up in the United States, my entire family is from Hercegovina. From swimming in the Bregava on hot summer days to sharing stories over cappuccinos with my dad at Cafe Nota, I have made so many great memories here. Ask any of the women in my family and they’ll tell you that Hercegovke are the type of women you’ll never forget. Can’t say they’re wrong!

I’ve always been more of a jeans and t-shirt kind of a gal, and as you can imagine this is one of those combos that never gets old. I came up with this design around the same time the whole *girl boss* movement began, but of course I had to put my own Balkan spin on it.

When I’m not at the beach (which I wish was more often than I’d like to admit), this tote doubles as my go-to reusable bag for all those grocery runs to Aldi.

I have this terrible habit of finding humor in any kind of situation, so if you’re ever around me then you know how much I love to laugh and put a smile on anyone’s face. I’d say this shirt is pretty fitting for me ?

A more recent addition to our store, this sweatshirt has been pigment dyed, giving it a truly one-of-a-kind wash. I definitely have a hard time taking this one off!

I love layers, especially when the temperature drops below 50 degrees in Atlanta. I’ve paired this white hoodie with my favorite thrifted denim jacket.

Normally I’m not much of a hat person, but there’s just something about a beanie that brings me this sense of comfort. We have more of these in our store, but this one’s by far my favorite.
